6. The LORD has directed that you use 7 circles to purify your wives and girls who have become contaminated by sleeping with men who are not their husbands or husbands to be. Each circle shall represent the menstrual period of the woman or the girl to be purified. Women who are in menopause shall follow the purification process for men and boys.
7. Every woman who has slept with a man other than her husband shall purify herself in the way that the LORD has said and after that shall she sleep with the husband. For the glory of the LORD will depart that family where the woman who has been contaminated continue to sleep with the husband.
8. Every girl who has slept with a man other than her husband to be shall purify herself in the way the LORD has said and after that shall she sleep with the husband to be after marriage. For the glory of the LORD shall depart that marriage where the girl who has been contaminated continue to sleep with her husband.
9. A woman or girl who has contaminated herself shall start purification by abstaining from sleeping with any man after completion of a menstruation.
10. The woman or girl shall after then never sleep with any man all through the next 7 menstrual periods. During these periods, she shall not have any intimate contact with any man be it to sleep with or by touch.
11. The woman or girl shall never eat meat during these periods but shall only eat food cooked with fish and plants produce.
12. She shall wear under wears of white colours only during these periods and she shall burn all materials that come in contact with her menstrual blood and shall not dispose them otherwise.
13. Any man who forces the woman or girl to break this purification half way by sleeping with her shall be cursed forever.
14. On completion of the 7th menstrual circle, she shall take off all the clothing she wore that day and shave all the hairs on her body and burn them all. Thereafter she shall be declared clean and fit to sleep with her husband or to be married to her husband to be.
15. This is what the LORD has said must be done for your household and marriage to be blessed.
